Catholic Identity

Our Catholic Identity

We believe that the teachings of Jesus Christ are the cornerstone on which we base our relationship with one another.  We believe that prayer and service are central to our faith life.  Our entire school community is dedicated to creating a safe, secure environment, in which learning is top priority.

  • Morning Meeting

Students gather in the gym each morning for an opening prayer, the daily reading of the gospel, and a short reflection.

After that, we share any announcements, highlight students, and celebrate any birthdays.

Upbeat worship music is played upon entering and leaving the gym so as to start our day in praise!

  • In the Classroom

The message  and values of Jesus Christ are the cornerstone of all we do at Seven Sorrows!

Whether it be a formal study or intertwined into our day-to-day interactions and behavior, we strive to incorporate everything we do based on HIS teachings.

  • Weekly Mass

Once a week, our students celebrate the Holy Sacrafice of the Mass as a group.

For our youngest students, prayer partners are paired up with their partner to assist and teach proper respect and behavior during Mass.

  • Prayer Partners

Our younger students and classes, are partnered up with our older students and classes, as Prayer Partners.

The responsibiliy of the older students is to emulate good moral values and behavior to their younger partners, setting good examples for them to follow.

  • Adoration

Seven Sorrows sets aside time for our students to visit Jesus in Adoration.  Teachers are also encouranged to take their students over whenever time permits.

  • Special Events

Throughout each school year we celebrate everything we can when it comes to our faith!

    Feast Day Picnic

    All Saints Day Parade

    A Nativity Presentation

    Shadow Stations

    Vacation Bible School

    As well as many others!

  • Outreach

Throughout the year we're always incorporating acts of kindness and outreach opportunities to our students.

In our Stream Lab we may hand-sew pillows for our ederly neighbors and shut-ins.  The students donate money for missions through dress down days.  We partner with KOC and CCW for events that outreach with organizations like Boxes for Joy or local tragedies.

It is in helping others that we grow closer to Jesus Christ, and it is in Jesus Christ that we become all we were created to be and do.
